Berserk: The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition Movie Trailer

A new preview video, a new visual, and the Japanese broadcast details have been revealed for Berserk: The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition, an upcoming TV broadcast of the 2012 – 2013 anime film trilogy based on the dark fantasy manga by Kentaro Miura that features new music and new animation cuts.

The preview video (below) highlights the new ending theme song, entitled “Wish”, which is performed by Mika Nakashima, as well as the “Bonfire of Dreams” sequence that was not included in the original theatrical release of the films.

 

The original Berserk manga is serialized by Hakusensha in their Young Animal seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Dark Horse Comis. Viz releases the original theatrical versions of the Berserk: The Golden Age Arc films, and describes the story of the trilogy as follows:

The lone mercenary Guts travels a land where a century-old war is raging. His ferocity and skill in battle attract the attention of Griffith, the leader of a group of mercenaries called the Band of the Hawk. Guts becomes Griffith’s closest ally and confidant, but despite all their victories, Guts begins to question why he fights for another man’s dream of ruling his own kingdom. Unknown to Guts, Griffith’s unyielding ambition is about to bestow a horrible fate on them both.

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition is directed by Yuta Sano based on the theatrical editions directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka and features animation production by STUDIO4℃. The films will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:
