Buffy and Angel are Joining the Monster High Universe
Slaying Since 1997: Mattel Drops a Monster High Buffy and Angel 2-Pack
If you spent the late ‘90s screaming at your TV every time Angel lost his soul—or if you simply appreciate the immortal art of high-school vampire drama—hold onto your leather dusters. Mattel Creations just gave us something we didn’t know our inner teen scifi geek needed: an official Monster High Skullector Buffy and Angel 2-pack.
Yeah. The Slayer and her broody vampire ex are getting the high-fashion, high-drama Monster High treatment, and honestly? It works ridiculously well.

The Details (Because We Know You Looked at the Shoes First)
Mattel did not skimp on the lore here. They managed to capture that peak Buffy the Vampire Slayer aesthetic while keeping the signature exaggerated, edgy Monster High silhouette intact.
-
Buffy Summers: Naturally, she’s rocking a look heavily inspired by her iconic Bronze-frequenting days. Think high-end 90s grunge meets runway Slayer. She comes equipped with her trusty wooden stake (Mr. Pointy, obviously) and a sculpted outfit that screams “I have AP History at eight, but a demon portal to seal at nine.”
-
Angel: Complete with his signature tortured pout, dark leather duster, and styled hair that defies gravity. They nailed his “brooding in the shadows” energy, right down to the dramatic collar placement.
The two-pack comes in display-ready packaging packed with Easter eggs from the show—including Sunnydale High accents, vintage gothic patterns, and subtle nods to the Bronze. If you’re an in-box collector, this set is going to look stunning sitting next to your existing Skullector lineup.
Why This Crossover Just Makes Sense
Monster High has been leaning hard into classic horror and scifi nostalgic icons with their Skullector series (we’ve seen Beetlejuice, Gremlins, and The Addams Family get the doll treatment over the past few years). But bringing Buffy into the mix feels like a natural homecoming.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer essentially invented the modern “supernatural creatures navigating high school” trope that Monster High built its entire world upon back in 2010. Bringing the original high school monster hunter into the school for ghouls completes the circle in the best way possible.
How to Get Your Hands on Them
Like most Mattel Creations Skullector drops, this set will be a limited release available directly through the Mattel Creations portal. If history tells us anything, these collector sets tend to sell out fast—so if you want to add Sunnydale’s most dynamic duo to your shelf, keep your browser prepped on launch day.
Are you adding this pair to your horror/scifi display, or are you holding out for a Spike variant down the road? (Because let’s be real, a Monster High Spike would break the internet.)
