Apocalipsis Z: Nuevo Mundo Unleashes Its Official Trailer — The Zombie Nightmare Is Far From Over

The apocalypse is expanding. Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for

Apocalipsis Z: Nuevo Mundo, the sequel to the Spanish zombie thriller Apocalipsis Z: El principio del fin. Directed by Carles Torrens, the new film takes the franchise into a larger and more dangerous fight for survival, where escaping the infected may be only half the battle.

The Last Refuge Is No Longer Safe

Following the outbreak of the TSJ virus, the Canary Islands have become Europe’s last refuge. But survival comes with a price, and a special mission to mainland Spain could put everything at risk.

The operation, known as Operation Ithaca, is sent to secure vital supplies and establish a transportation route between the mainland and the islands. Roberto, played by Carlos Alcaide, joins the mission, but his questionable intentions complicate an already desperate situation.

What begins as a mission for survival quickly turns into a fight against hordes of infected, collapsing defenses, and loyalties that may not survive the journey.

The new trailer teases a world where the infected remain a constant threat, but the people fighting to stay alive may be just as unpredictable.

A Bigger Apocalypse for Halloween

Based on the literary universe created by Spanish author Manel Loureiro, Apocalipsis Z: Nuevo Mundo continues the story established in the 2024 film Apocalipsis Z: El principio del fin.

Carles Torrens returns to direct, with Ángel Agudo once again handling the screenplay. The cast includes Carlos Alcaide, José María Yazpik, Mónica López, Julia Martínez, Berta Vázquez, Tamara Casellas, and Santiago Vaca Narvaja.

The sequel expands the franchise’s post-apocalyptic setting, shifting the focus toward a larger mission that tests the limits of cooperation in a world where trust can be as fragile as any human settlement.

And that’s what makes this new chapter worth watching: when civilization collapses, survival isn’t simply about avoiding the infected. It’s about deciding what, and who, is still worth saving.

Release Date

Apocalipsis Z: Nuevo Mundo will premiere at the Sitges Film Festival on October 10, 2026, before arriving exclusively on Prime Video on October 30, 2026, just in time for Halloween.

Watch the official trailer and prepare to return to a world where the end of civilization is only the beginning of the nightmare.

Would you risk a mission into infected territory to save what’s left of humanity, or would you stay behind and protect your own?

The apocalypse isn’t over. It’s just getting bigger.
