Shaun the Sheep returns in The Beast of Mossy Bottom. Watch the trailer
Halloween arrives early at Mossy Bottom Farm, and it’s anything but peaceful. In Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, the flock’s beloved pumpkin patch is destroyed, pushing Shaun into full mad scientist mode. But his experiment spirals out of control, unleashing a wild beast that roams Mossingham while the Farmer mysteriously vanishes.
Directed by longtime Aardman collaborators Steve Cox and Matthew Walker, this marks their feature debut, with a screenplay by Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow. The film blends Aardman’s signature handmade charm with monster-movie parody, echoing the studio’s legacy from Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. With returning voice talents Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes, and Kate Harbour, fans can expect clever humor, inventive chaos, and a monstrously fun family adventure.
As Aardman celebrates its 50th anniversary, The Beast of Mossy Bottom feels like both a tribute to its past and a playful leap into new territory. Expect laughs, frights, and plenty of woolly mischief when the film hits theaters September 18, 2026.
