‘Street Fighter V’ Announces Luke the Kickboxer as new character fighter

During today’s Street Fighter V presentation, Capcom revealed that Luke, a new character to the Street Fighter universe, will be the much-ballyhooed final fighter added to the five-year-old game.

While very few details were shared about Luke apart from a vague November release date, Street Fighter V director Takayuki Nakayama said that he provides “a glimpse into the future” of the Street Fighter franchise. It seems like Luke has a role to play in upcoming games, but what that means remains a mystery until Capcom is ready to spill the beans.

As a mixed martial arts fighter, Luke prioritises punches and elbow strikes, capable of pulling off overhead kicks too. These strikes can produce projectiles too for range, while one V-Trigger doubles his hits per strike.

DLC Character Luke will launch in November 2021.
