Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer

A new trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has been released, revealing more about the new sequel movie in a world without Caesar.

The new sequel will follow the former ape leader’s son, Cornelius, on a new journey throughout post-apocalyptic Earth. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.

The new movie in the reboot franchise will seemingly continue exploring the conflict between apes and humans as the former become Earth’s dominant species. In the previous film, War for the Planet of the Apes, it was revealed the Simian Flu Pandemic had resulted in humans becoming more animalistic. This change in the dynamic between apes and humans will be further explored in the upcoming sequel.

The rise of a tyrannical ape also underscores a possible conflict between Cornelius and this new ruler. Since the young ape has a lot to live up to given his father’s leadership in earlier installments, this movie may reveal his own rise to power. This sets up the possibility of a future film that remakes the original Planet of the Apes, bringing the franchise full circle.
