‘Fallout’ Season 2 Drops New Trailer — Here’s What’s Inside
In a bold move ahead of the holiday streaming rush, Prime Video has released the official trailer for Fallout Season 2, setting the stage for a new chapter in the post-nuclear world of the Wasteland.
The trailer teases a journey from the Mojave Wasteland into the neon-ruined grandeur of New Vegas, one of the most iconic locales in the video-game franchise that inspired the series. Featured in the trailer are the returning protagonists Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) as they navigate shifting alliances, monstrous creatures and the moral fallout of their earlier choices.
Significantly, Season 2 will not drop all episodes at once. Instead, the series will adopt a weekly release model starting December 17, 2025, with the season wrapping in early February. This marks a shift from the binge-friendly model of Season 1 and signals Prime Video’s confidence in sustained viewer engagement.
The trailer also incorporates easter-eggs from the original games — including a deadly Deathclaw, flash-forwards to New Vegas, and new cast additions whose roles are yet to be fully revealed. For longtime fans of the franchise, the visuals provide a welcome deep-cut into the lore, while newcomers may simply be drawn by the spectacle of the wasteland’s next evolution.
Based on the video game, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
The series stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Sweetpea), Aaron Moten (Emancipation, Father Stu), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys).
