Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. marked “Ultraman Day” today with the official launch of the Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project, a large-scale celebration commemorating six decades of the legendary Ultraman franchise. The announcement was made by company President and CEO Masayuki Nagatake and kicks off a two-and-a-half-year journey that will honor the impact and enduring legacy of the Ultra Series.

First broadcast on July 10, 1966, Ultraman quickly became a cultural icon, inspiring generations with its themes of Courage, Hope, and Compassion. Now, as the franchise approaches its 60th anniversary in 2026, Tsuburaya aims to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans both old and new.

A Global Project Spanning Generations

Running from July 2025 to early 2028, the Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project promises a diverse lineup of content and experiences:

  • A brand-new 60th anniversary TV series

  • Live stage shows across Japan and overseas

  • Immersive digital content accessible anytime, anywhere

  • Special merchandise and collaborations designed to bring Ultraman into daily life

Tsuburaya stated that the initiative is designed to make Ultraman’s values and stories more accessible and impactful than ever, transcending cultures and generations.

A Logo Full of Meaning

To commemorate this historic milestone, Tsuburaya also unveiled the official 60th anniversary logo. The design features three shining stars symbolizing Courage, Hope, and Compassion, while the iconic silhouette of Ultraman rising from the number “60” expresses a leap toward a hopeful future.

This logo is more than symbolic—it serves as a brand promise to fans, capturing the timeless spirit of the franchise and anchoring the project’s core themes.
