The Strangers: Chapter 2 Trailer Revives the Nightmare

Lionsgate has officially unveiled the chilling first trailer for The Strangers: Chapter 2, the next entry in the rebooted horror trilogy directed by Renny Harlin.

Picking up immediately after the events of Chapter 1, the sequel sees Maya (played by Madelaine Petsch) recovering in a remote hospital after surviving the brutal cabin attack. But peace is short-lived. The trailer reveals that the nightmare is far from over, as the masked killers return—this time stalking dimly lit hospital halls with surgical precision.

Ramping up the tension in a tighter, more claustrophobic setting, Chapter 2 leans into psychological dread and slasher suspense. The trailer draws clear inspiration from Halloween II, swapping out the home invasion scenario for a tense survival thriller in a place meant for healing.

The film is the second part of a trilogy filmed consecutively in Slovakia, with Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath also returning in key roles. Harlin promises that each installment will feel distinct in tone and setting, and from this first look, Chapter 2 is aiming for rawer, more relentless horror.

The Strangers: Chapter 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on September 26, 2025.
