SYFY has released the first official trailer for Revival, its upcoming horror-drama series based on the acclaimed comic book by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. The series is set to premiere on Thursday, June 12, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available on Peacock one week after airing.

Set in rural Wisconsin, Revival explores a world where the recently deceased return to life, unchanged and seemingly normal. This phenomenon, dubbed “Revival Day,” turns the town upside down as residents grapple with the implications of the dead walking among them. The story follows police officer Dana Cypress, portrayed by Melanie Scrofano, as she investigates a series of mysterious events linked to the revivals.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the eerie atmosphere of the series, highlighting the tension between the living and the returned. Scrofano, known for her role in Wynonna Earp, leads a cast that includes Romy Weltman as Martha “Em” Cypress, David James Elliott as Wayne Cypress, and Andy McQueen as Ibrahim Ramin. Notably, CM Punk appears in a recurring role, adding to the show’s intrigue.

Created by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce, Revival aims to stay true to its comic book roots while delivering a fresh take on the horror genre. The series delves into themes of life, death, and the complexities of human relationships in the face of the unexplainable.

Filmed in New Brunswick, Canada, the production captures the haunting beauty of its setting, enhancing the show’s unsettling narrative. With its unique premise and strong source material, Revival is poised to be a standout addition to SYFY’s lineup.
