Written and directed by Brian Klewin in his feature debut, the film centers on Oliver (portrayed by Siddhartha Rajan), who inherits his estranged father’s remote cabin. What seems like a quiet retreat soon reveals a sealed trunk hiding a sinister grimoire of dark spells. When Oliver unwittingly recites a ritual, he unleashes evil forces — including a rising vampire lord — and soon his friends and the forest itself fall under the book’s sinister grip. In a statement, Klewin said the project is “a love letter to the iconic horror classics that shaped me,” referencing The Lost Boys, Evil Dead, and even anime influences. FANGORIA He aims to balance visceral thrills with emotional weight around themes of family, grief, and legacy. BIFF Festival+1
The trailer offers tantalizing glimpses: vampire attacks, occult symbols, forest shadows, and ominous voiceovers hinting at past secrets. It positions Bloodsuckers and the Grimoire as a fresh voice in supernatural horror — rooted in genre traditions but eager to forge its own identity.
