Prime Video unveils the Carnival Row season 2 trailer. Premiering in August 2019, Carnival Row blends neo-noir and fantasy to tell the story of Philo (Orlando Bloom), a half-blood detective investigating a string of grisly murders. The detective’s life is further complicated by his relationship with Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne), a fae who is keeping a secret that threatens to unravel society’s already unsteady sense of peace.

Carnival Row season 2 was renewed in July before the first installment premiered. The new episodes include a significant shift behind the scenes, as series co-creator Travis Beacham exited the neo-noir drama over creative differences in what’s described as a mutual decision.

New plot details shared by Prime Video tease that the final Carnival Row season will pick up with Philo investigating a string of murders that stir up social unrest. While Vignette and the Black Raven plan their revenge against Jonah BreaIkspear (Arty Froushan) and Sophie Longerbane (Caroline Ford) for the injustice they experienced in season 1, Tourmaline (Kara Crome) inherits supernatural powers, threatening both her and The Row’s futures. Other stories also await Imogen Spurnrose (Tamzin Merchant) and her partner Agreus Astrayon (David Gyasi). After escaping Imogen’s brother Ezra (Andrew Gower), not to mention The Burgue, they find their plans in jeopardy when they encounter a very different society.
