Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Finally Returns With October 21 Release Date
At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, fans of the World of Darkness franchise finally received the news they’ve been waiting for: Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will officially release on October 21, 2025. The date, revealed during the showcase, positions the long-delayed sequel perfectly for the Halloween season, one of the most fitting times of year for a gothic vampire RPG.
The announcement comes after years of development turbulence. Originally unveiled in 2019 under Hardsuit Labs, the project switched hands in 2021 and was later revived by The Chinese Room, known for Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. The studio promises a bold new direction while keeping the dark urban setting of Seattle.
Players will step into the role of an Elder vampire waking from centuries of slumber, navigating the politics, danger, and intrigue of the undead underworld. While Paradox Interactive has faced criticism over DLC strategies, the excitement around Bloodlines 2’s long-awaited release is undeniable.
The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S when it launches this fall.
Pre-order Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 now on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 for $59.99 USD.
You can also pre-order the digital Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Deluxe Edition and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Premium Edition. Pre-order the Deluxe Edition for $69.99 USD or the Premium Edition for $89.99 USD now on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
With the release date finally set in stone, fans now look forward to seeing if Bloodlines 2 can live up to the legacy of the cult classic original from 2004.
