Joe Musashi Returns in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Story Trailer
SEGA and developer Lizardcube have released the official story trailer for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the upcoming 2D action platformer that marks the return of the iconic ninja, Joe Musashi. The trailer delves into Musashi’s quest for vengeance against Lord Ruse and the ENE Corp, who have decimated his village and petrified his clan.
The game features hand-drawn visuals and classic Shinobi gameplay elements, including ninja arts, combo attacks, and exploration across over a dozen stylized stages filled with secrets. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is set to release on August 28, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Pre-orders are available now, offering a 10% discount and exclusive in-game items such as the Original Arcade Outfit and the Fortune Hunter Amulet. A Digital Deluxe Edition includes additional bonuses like early access, the Ghost Outfit, Medic Lite Amulet, in-game currency, a digital artbook and soundtrack, and the SEGA Villains Stage featuring bosses inspired by iconic SEGA characters.
Limited Run Games has also announced physical editions of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, including a Collector’s Edition featuring a statue of Joe Musashi and a new SEGA Visions Magazine.
