After years in development, the revolutionary 3dSen emulator is finally here — letting fans experience classic NES titles in fully reconstructed 3D environments.

The golden age of Nintendo just got a serious upgrade. The 3dSen emulator, a unique project that transforms 2D NES games into immersive 3D experiences, has officially launched its version 1.0 on Steam. This marks the end of its early access phase after nearly a decade of passionate development.

Unlike other emulators that simply upscale graphics or simulate depth using parallax effects, 3dSen actually rebuilds each supported game from the ground up in 3D voxel style, offering a fresh and visually stunning way to re-experience old favorites like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man, Duck Hunt, and Contra.

The emulator offers full support for modern gameplay features like save states, camera control, and scene exporting. There’s also VR compatibility, allowing players to step into these nostalgic worlds using a Meta Quest or other VR headset.

3dSen is available in two versions:

          3dSen PC: ~$9 USD

  • 3dSen VR: ~$16 USD

Both are currently discounted on Steam for launch week.

“It’s not just nostalgia — it’s a whole new way to play.” — Retro gaming community reaction

With more than 100 titles already supported and new ones continually added through the companion tool 3dSenMaker, the project is a game-changer for retro gaming fans who want to see their childhood memories reimagined with a new dimension.
