Cyberpunk Shooter Off The Grid Expands to Steam Early Access
Gunzilla Games has officially confirmed that its cyberpunk-themed battle royale, Off The Grid, will launch on Steam in June. The game, which features a narrative crafted by District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, initially debuted in October 2024 via Early Access on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store.
Off The Grid blends high-stakes multiplayer combat with a cinematic single-player narrative, a rare approach in the battle royale genre. The title has gained attention not only for its futuristic dystopian setting but also for its collaboration with Blomkamp, whose signature storytelling style adds a narrative depth uncommon in online shooters.
The Steam release marks an expansion of the game’s accessibility to a broader PC audience, following months of community feedback and iterative updates through its Early Access phase on other platforms. Gunzilla Games has not yet confirmed a specific release date, but players can expect the title to appear on the Steam storefront sometime in June.
The game’s developers have emphasized that Off The Grid’s arrival on Steam will include all the current content available on other platforms, with further updates planned as it progresses toward full release.
