Nintendo is releasing a 35th Anniversary Game & Watch Super Mario Brothers
Nintendo has released a pretty cool retro handheld game that you might want to get your hands on for yourself or a gift for someone. This is the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Handheld game and the style is based on the design of Nintendo’s original handheld console that dates back to the early 80s.
Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. is a new interpretation of the original Game & Watch design that’s updated to include a +Control Pad so you can jump, leap, and stomp with precision and ease. In addition to Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels offers even more gameplay…and some extra challenge to boot!
In addition to Super Mario Bros., the handheld can also play Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels (released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2) and an updated version of Game & Watch: Ball that stars Mario (instead of Mr. Game & Watch).
The design is based on the original +Control Pad from 1980, and like the original Game & Watch device, it also functions as a digital clock, which includes 35 “little touches” and Easter eggs to celebrate the milestone anniversary.
The Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. handheld will be released on November 13th in “limited production” for $49.99.
