The Ultimate Collector’s Dream: Square Enix’s NieR Series 15th Anniversary BOX

nier15_port

If there’s one thing that makes my inner geek light up, it’s when a beloved series hits a milestone and the creators go all in. Well, mark your calendars: on February 28, 2026, Square Enix plans to release the NieR Series 15th Anniversary BOX — a deluxe collector’s box set meant to (hopefully) bring tears to your eyes and emptier wallets.

If you love NieR — from Replicant to Automata to Re[in]carnation — you’re going to want to read this.

What is the 15th Anniversary BOX?

Square Enix describes this box set as a celebration in three parts: statue, music, and lore.

Here’s what’s inside:

  • NieR Series 15th Anniversary Figure — A sculpted diorama combining the protagonist from NieR Replicant ver.1.22…, 2B from NieR: Automata, and Fio (the “Girl of Light”) from NieR Re[in]carnation. The detail is supposed to be exquisite (fabric folds, textures, etc.).

  • NieR Jazz Arrangement Album from the Dinner Show — These are newly recorded studio versions of songs that were performed in a real-world event called NieR: Something Like a Dinner Show held December 2024. For fans who couldn’t attend, this is your ticket.

  • NieR Weapon Story — A lore book (in English) that collects over 650 weapon stories from across the NieR series (Automata, Re[in]carnation, Replicant) — the short vignettes tied to weapons mid-battle.

So yes — it’s more than just a statue. It’s an experience.

The box is pricey: roughly ¥32,780 (which translates to around USD $220+ depending on region) and currently open for preorders on Square Enix’s store.

Why This Box Matters (To Us Fans)

You know how in NieR, the smallest whisper, the faint echo of a song, or a weapon’s backstory can cut deeper than most epic battle scenes? That sense of layered storytelling is what makes the series special. This box doesn’t just collect merchandise — it collects emotional weight.

  • The diorama unites iconic characters from different timelines, a kind of “crossover” representation for the fan in all of us.

  • The music album gives a fresh take on beloved tracks (and for those of us who lost sleep over Weight of the Worldor Kaine’s Theme, this is not a small thing).

  • The lore book gives extra flesh to the universe, especially the kind of lore fans chew on in forums late at night.

Plus, this anniversary lands amid a slew of other NieR events — live concerts, merchandise, streams. (Remember their NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 tour? Wikipedia) It’s like Square Enix is making a full anniversary festival of our fandom.

Things to Be Wary Of / Questions I’m Asking

  • Shipping & pricing in your region. Import costs, taxes, delays — always a gamble when buying collector boxes internationally.

  • Language / content localization. The lore book is currently said to be in English. Square Enix Store If you read Japanese or another language, is there a localized version or extras?

  • Will tracks from the CD ever go digital? The listing notes that tracks “may be digitally distributed later.” Square Enix Store If they go wear-out fast, panic preorders might be wise.

  • What’s next in the series? Fans are itching for a (real) NieR: Automata sequel or another major game. Will this anniversary hint at something bigger? (During the 10th anniversary, the NieR Replicant remake was announced unexpectedly.)

  • Limited quantities + collector demand. Boxes like these tend to sell out fast, especially in regions outside Japan.

I’m already counting the days. Preordering this is more than acquiring merch — it’s affirming that NieR’s haunting blend of philosophy, emotion, and beauty still holds deep space in my heart.

If Square Enix does this right — good localization, careful shipping, maybe some surprise digital extras — this could become the centerpiece of a NieR fan’s collection. I’m nervous it might get overpriced or delayed, but I have faith.

If I were you, I’d watch the Square Enix store now, set alerts, and prepare. Because this box feels like a once-in-a-fandom opportunity.
