Monster Hunter Stories: A Classic Adventure Reimagined
CAPCOM announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase stream on Wednesday that it is releasing the original Monster Hunter Stories, the first RPG for the Monster Hunter franchise, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, and PC via Steam in summer 2024.
The new release will feature improved graphics, a Museum mode, and content that was previously only available in Japan.
In the game’s story, in a certain village of Riders, children start their adventure with a game of “Egg Hunting Tag.” The protagonist, Lilia, and Shuval go into the forest and discover a monster egg, and the egg hatches. Through this meeting, the monster awakens, and the three friends each start to walk on their own separate paths.
What Is Monster Hunter Stories?
Monster Hunter Stories is a remastered version of the original Monster Hunter RPG, now fully voiced and enhanced for modern platforms. Unlike traditional Monster Hunters who hunt down fearsome creatures, Riders in this game form deep bonds with monsters and raise them as companions. It’s a refreshing departure from the usual monster-slaying action, offering a heartwarming and adventurous experience.
