Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Brings the DS Era Back in 2026
Capcom has officially announced that Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will launch worldwide on March 27, 2026, bringing the full Star Force saga to modern platforms for the first time.
Originally released on the Nintendo DS between 2006 and 2009, the Mega Man Star Force series followed Geo Stelar and his extraterrestrial partner Omega-Xis in a futuristic world centered around electromagnetic wave technology. The upcoming Legacy Collection bundles all seven mainline titles from the series into a single release.
The collection will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, ensuring broad accessibility across current-generation hardware.
In addition to the original games, the Legacy Collection includes a range of quality-of-life improvements designed to modernize the experience. These enhancements include an in-game art gallery, a music player featuring tracks from across the series, and additional gameplay options aimed at improving accessibility and convenience. Online features are also expected to support select gameplay elements.
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection continues Capcom’s ongoing effort to preserve and reintroduce classic Mega Man titles for new audiences, following previous Legacy Collections focused on the original Mega Man, X, Zero/ZX, and Battle Network series.
With its March 2026 release date now confirmed, fans of the franchise can look forward to revisiting one of Mega Man’s most distinctive eras—or experiencing it for the first time—on modern platforms.
