LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Revealed at Gamescom 2025

At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Warner Bros. Games and TT Games unveiled LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the highly anticipated return of the Dark Knight in LEGO form. The reveal trailer showcased an expansive open-world Gotham City, combining decades of Batman’s legacy with TT Games’ trademark humor and family-friendly action.

Set for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, the game promises to be the most ambitious LEGO Batman title to date.

The trailer teased:

  • Open-World Gotham — Players can glide, grapple, and drive the Batmobile through a sprawling LEGO Gotham.

  • Dynamic Characters — Play as Batman alongside Robin, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and more—each with unique gadgets and skills.

  • Iconic Villains — Joker, Penguin, and Bane (voiced by Matt Berry) headline the rogues’ gallery.

  • Cinematic Inspiration — Storylines and sequences draw from classic Batman films, comics, and TV shows, while adapting the expansive LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga format.

 

Fans will get a chance to experience Batman’s entire journey, from crime-fighting origins to legendary showdowns with Gotham’s most notorious criminals—all reimagined in the colorful, playful LEGO style.

With Legacy of the Dark Knight, TT Games looks to deliver a love letter to Batman’s history while giving players a massive sandbox adventure filled with action, humor, and nostalgia.
