The Vampire Lestat: New Teaser Drops for Interview with the Vampire Season 3
AMC has confirmed that Interview with the Vampire will return for a third season in 2026, but with a bold new identity: The Vampire Lestat. The rebrand aligns with Anne Rice’s second novel in The Vampire Chronicles, shifting the narrative focus squarely onto the charismatic and unpredictable vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, played by Sam Reid.
The newly released teaser, titled The Lamp and the Fern, showcases Lestat embracing his rockstar persona, complete with screaming fans and backstage drama. In one clip, he even selects a consenting groupie to drain, highlighting the series’ blend of gothic horror and modern spectacle.
Series creator Rolin Jones teased that new characters will join the ensemble, while familiar faces like Jacob Anderson’s Louis and Eric Bogosian’s Daniel Molloy remain integral to the story. AMC promises that the season will dive deeper into Lestat’s psyche, exploring his rise to fame, his complicated relationships, and his enduring allure.
The rebrand has sparked debate among fans, with some praising the spotlight on Lestat while others worry about confusion over the show’s identity. Regardless, anticipation is high as AMC continues to expand its Anne Rice universe, positioning The Vampire Lestat as one of 2026’s most talked-about genre series.
