First Look at Gen V Season 2: Chaos, Control, and a Missing Hero

Prime Video has officially released the first trailer for Season 2 of Gen V, the college-set spinoff of the hit series The Boys. The trailer offers fans a glimpse into a radically altered Godolkin University, now under strict authoritarian rule, and sets the stage for a season filled with political undertones, grief, and explosive conflict.
The second season is set to premiere on September 17, 2025, with the first three episodes dropping on day one, followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale on October 22.
A major addition to the cast is Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher, the new head of Godolkin University. Under his leadership, the institution becomes a training ground for militarized Supes, shifting away from its traditional curriculum in favor of combat-readiness and obedience.
The trailer also acknowledges the real-life passing of Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre Anderson. In a respectful move, the showrunners have chosen not to recast the role. Instead, the storyline pivots to reflect the character’s absence. Perdomo’s on-screen father, Polarity (played by Sean Patrick Thomas), appears devastated and searching for answers, adding emotional weight to the upcoming season.
Returning characters Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh) face new challenges as they navigate an increasingly dystopian campus atmosphere. The trailer shows them transitioning from a secure facility back into a changed Godolkin, now brimming with paranoia, military drills, and state surveillance.
Ties to The Boys universe continue to deepen, with the appearance of Chace Crawford as The Deep hinting at future crossovers and unified storylines. With themes of authoritarianism, control, and identity at the forefront, Gen V Season 2 is poised to be both action-packed and socially resonant.
