Bandai Introduces Tamagotchi Nano x Star Wars: Darth Vader Edition
Bandai has announced an exciting addition to its Tamagotchi lineup: the Tamagotchi Nano x Star Wars: Darth Vader. This innovative virtual pet allows fans to accompany Anakin Skywalker on his transformative journey to becoming Darth Vader. Scheduled for release on March 11, 2025, the device is priced at $30 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.
Unlike traditional Tamagotchis that focus on nurturing cute alien creatures, this edition immerses users in the Star Wars universe. Players can train Anakin with a lightsaber and engage in duels against various adversaries. The gameplay includes five mini-games:
- Letter Catch
- Lightsaber Training
- Trench Run
- Duel Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Battle with Luke Skywalker
Depending on player interactions, Anakin can evolve into ten different versions of Darth Vader. Additionally, users will unlock twelve special scenes from the Star Wars franchise, enhancing the immersive experience.
The Tamagotchi comes with a silicone case designed to resemble Darth Vader’s iconic helmet, providing both protection and a thematic aesthetic. A chain is also included, allowing fans to attach the device to bags or keychains for on-the-go adventures.
This release follows previous collaborations between Tamagotchi and Star Wars, including editions featuring Grogu and R2-D2. Each offered unique gameplay elements and character interactions, but the Darth Vader edition stands out by focusing on Anakin’s complex journey to the dark side.
