NECA Unleashes NES Jason in Stylized 6-Inch Figure
Horror fans and retro gamers, rejoice—NECA is resurrecting one of the most iconic and unexpected variants in slasher history. The purple-and-blue Jason Voorhees, inspired by the 1989 Friday the 13th NES video game, is officially joining NECA’s beloved Toony Terrors toy line.
The 6-inch scale figure captures the pixelated nightmare in a stylized cartoon sculpt, blending Saturday morning cartoon charm with classic horror nostalgia. NECA describes the figure as “adorably creepy,” and it comes equipped with an axe accessory and blister card packaging that pays homage to its retro roots.
This isn’t NES Jason’s first foray into the collectible world. NECA previously released several figures celebrating the cult-favorite color scheme, but this marks his debut in the Toony Terrors series—a line known for reimagining horror icons with a playful twist.
Pre-orders for the figure open on January 13, 2026, and collectors are already buzzing with anticipation. Whether you’re a fan of vintage video games, horror memorabilia, or just love a good throwback, this release is a must-have.
Stay tuned for more updates and official photos as the release date approaches.
