McFarlane Toys Debuts Azrael Batman: Black & White Statue

McFarlane Toys has officially announced the latest entry in its popular Batman: Black & White collectible line—a dramatic new statue of Azrael, the armored vigilante from DC Comics, modeled after Joe Quesada’s striking artwork from Sword of Azrael #1.
This 1:10-scale polyresin statue stands approximately 8.5 inches tall and captures Azrael’s fearsome design in stark monochrome. Featuring split capes, heavy gauntlets, and his signature flaming sword, the piece faithfully reimagines Quesada’s black-and-white illustration in three-dimensional form.
According to McFarlane Toys, the statue is hand-numbered, strictly limited, and will begin shipping in November 2025. It is priced at $179.99, and pre-orders are now live via the official McFarlane Toys Store and select online retailers.
Azrael, also known as Jean-Paul Valley, is a cult-favorite character who briefly took over the mantle of Batman in the 1990s. His appearance in this statue marks his first representation in the Batman: Black & White series, which already includes numerous fan-favorite characters and alternate Batmen designed by legendary artists.
This release comes at a time of renewed interest in Azrael, with collectors and comic fans alike praising the statue’s fidelity to its comic book source. The sculpt draws particular attention for its flowing textures, sharp armor details, and evocative base design—mirroring the tone of the original 1992 miniseries.
With limited availability and a strong pedigree of artist-inspired releases, the Azrael statue is expected to sell out quickly.
