Hiya Toys is diving deeper into kaiju territory with the latest addition to its Godzilla Exquisite Basic Series: a stunning new figure of Mechagodzilla MFS-3 “Kiryu” from the 2002 film Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. This version of the iconic mech is a fan-favorite, not just for its sleek design and devastating arsenal, but for its haunting origin—built around the actual skeleton of the original 1954 Godzilla.

Standing at 7.7 inches tall, the figure captures Kiryu’s metallic menace with a detailed sculpt and premium paintwork. It comes equipped with removable armor and weapons, including the fearsome Absolute Zero Cannon, a nod to the film’s climactic showdown. The figure’s articulation and accessories make it a standout piece for collectors and kaiju enthusiasts alike.

In the film, Kiryu is constructed by Japan’s Self-Defense Forces to counter the threat of a new Godzilla. But when the current monster appears, the original Godzilla’s bones within Kiryu stir to life, triggering a berserk rampage that blurs the line between machine and memory.

Pre-orders for the Exquisite Basic Series Mechagodzilla MFS-3 are now live through Hiya Toys for $117.99, with a scheduled release in Q1 2027. Whether you’re a longtime Godzilla fan or a newcomer to the franchise, this figure is a must-have for any serious collection.
