Marvel Comics is set to ignite the future once more with DOOM 2099: RAGE OF DOOM #1, arriving this April. The one-shot marks the return of acclaimed writer Frank Tieri, who continues the dystopian saga he began in Doomed 2099, this time teaming up with breakout artist Von Randal (All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider).

The story picks up in the scorched aftermath of Doomed 2099, where the future incarnation of Doctor Doom—recently revitalized by his role in Marvel Rivals—returns to a lifeless Earth, devastated by his own catastrophic spell. With nothing left but regret and ambition, Doom stumbles upon the severed head of Ultron, the infamous AI menace. Desperate to repair his time machine and rewrite his fate, Doom makes a dangerous gamble: revive Ultron.

But Ultron is no mere tool. As Tieri teases, “Behold the battle of two of comics’ all-time greatest villains!” What follows is a brutal clash of egos, intellects, and ideologies as Doom seeks redemption and Ultron seeks domination.

Editor Mark Paniccia adds, “If there’s one person who can beat Doom, it’s Frank Tieri. He really knows how to torture poor Victor!” The issue also showcases the dynamic visual storytelling of Von Randal, following the artistic legacy of Delio Diaz and Frank Alpizar from the previous installment.

Fans can also look forward to stunning covers by Junggeun Yoon, Derrick Chew, and Peach Momoko—whose variant will also be available in a virgin edition.

DOOM 2099: RAGE OF DOOM #1 is available for preorder now at comic shops everywhere. Prepare for a future forged in fire, fury, and machine logic.
