Wandering Witch: Elaina’s Journey Continues with New Anime Movie

Fans of Majo no Tabitabi (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) received exciting news during GA FES 2026: the beloved fantasy series will return with a brand-new anime movie.

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer featuring Kaede Hondo, who reprises her role as Elaina, the Ashen Witch. The project marks the first animated content in five years, following the TV anime’s conclusion in 2020.

The film is being produced by Studio C2C, the same studio behind the original anime adaptation. While the release date remains unconfirmed, the teaser hints at new adventures and emotional storytelling that fans have come to expect from the franchise.

This cinematic project coincides with two major milestones:

• The 5th anniversary of the anime’s broadcast (October 2025).
• The 10th anniversary of Jougi Shiraishi’s original light novel series.
