Classic Mecha OVA Metal Skin Panic Madox-01 Coming to Blu-Ray in the US

Fans of classic 1980s anime are in for a treat—Metal Skin Panic Madox-01 is finally making its way to Blu-Ray in the United States, thanks to AnimEigo.

Originally released in 1987, Madox-01 is a one-shot OVA directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed, Genesis Climber Mospeada) that blends high-energy mecha action with sharp comedic timing. The story follows Koji, an ordinary mechanic who accidentally gets trapped inside a top-secret military mech suit, leading to a wild mix of chaos, destruction, and laughs as both the military and rival forces scramble to get the rogue machine under control.

This release marks the first-ever US Blu-Ray debut of the OVA, offering fans the chance to experience the cult classic in remastered high definition.
