Life-sized Gundam statue unveiled for the first time at the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION in Osaka-Kansai Expo!

The life-sized Gundam statue of the private pavilion “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” exhibited by Bandai Namco Holdings at the “2025 World Expo, Japan” (Osaka-Kansai Expo) was unveiled to the media for the first time today, Wednesday, October 23rd, and a “head-up ceremony” (※) was held to pray for the safety of the installation of the life-sized Gundam statue and to dock the head of the statue.

“GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” captures the “life in space” and “science and technology that has not yet been realized” depicted in the Gundam series as new possibilities for the future, and depicts them through immersive, completely new images and pavilion spaces from Phase 0 to 7. The pavilion will allow people to easily travel to the space station by orbital elevator and experience a “future where living in space has become commonplace,” where mobile suits and humans coexist.

The life-sized Gundam statue, which is about 17 meters tall, will appear in the video shown at the pavilion as “RX-78F00/E Gundam.” Its hands are raised high into space, and it is expressing its gaze on the future that lies ahead, as it paves the way for a new space age together with humanity. Details of
the pavilion experience and the armor of the life-sized Gundam statue will be announced at a later date, so please look forward to further information.

The story of “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” has also arrived, so we will introduce it together.

*About the “Jou-toushiki”… In this project, the prayer for safety that takes place when the head of the life-sized Gundam statue is installed is named “Jou-toushiki”, in reference to the “Jou-toushiki” ceremony, which celebrates the completion of the building’s framework.
