Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) gets new anime series

After so many years… ‘Blue Exorcist’ will have a new animated season!

According to Oricon, Blue Exorcist TV Anime New Series will *NOT* be the 3rd Season of the original anime adaptation, but is stated as a ‘new animation work’. No further information has been given as of yet. This new work has been recently announced at Jump Festa 2023.

The manga inspired a 25-episode television anime series in 2011, and the Blue Exorcist: Kuro Runs Away From Home OAV also premiered in 2011. The Blue Exorcist movie then premiered in Japan in December 2012. The Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Sagatelevision anime premiered in 2017 and aired for 12 episodes.
