Disney has officially released the first full trailer for Zootopia 2, and fans are already buzzing about the long-awaited sequel to the 2016 animated blockbuster. Set for a Thanksgiving release on November 26, 2025, the new film promises more action, laughs, and emotional depth as it reintroduces audiences to fan favorites Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

In the trailer, Judy (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (voiced by Jason Bateman) are now full-fledged ZPD officers—but their partnership is off to a rocky start. After clashing on the job, they’re sent to buddy-cop therapy, where they meet Dr. Fuzzby, a sharp-witted quokka therapist voiced by Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary).

But therapy takes a backseat when a new criminal threat emerges: Gary De’Snake, a smooth-talking serpent voiced by Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once). The duo is forced to put their differences aside and investigate a mysterious case that could shake Zootopia to its core.

The trailer showcases several new environments beyond the urban jungle, expanding the Zootopia universe into desert, swamp, and coastal regions. Familiar faces like Shakira’s Gazelle, Idris Elba’s Chief Bogo, and Maurice LaMarche’s Mr. Big return, while newcomers like Fortune Feimster as Nibbles Maplestick add fresh comedic energy.

Director Jared Bush, who co-directed the first film and Encanto, returns with a team promising bigger stakes and deeper character arcs. With themes of emotional intelligence, cooperation, and second chances, Zootopia 2 looks to offer more than just talking animals and visual gags—it’s shaping up to be one of Disney’s most anticipated sequels in years.
